Growing up in the coastal Waikato community of Raglan he was singled out for his dedication to the local community, and his ability to bring together people and organisations. He received Volunteering Waikato’s Volunteer of the Year award in front of 250 people in Hamilton on the 21st June.

Bob is a member of the Raglan Volunteer Fire Service, Lions Club, Residents & Ratepayers Association and the Raglan Community Board and he also drives the bus for the Raglan Community Vehicle Trust.
