Monday’s Waikato Times (5.10.14) features an article on the pros and cons of the Rangitahi development. A number of locals are quoted in the article including Bob Macleod who warns that the development, known as private plan change 12, will make Raglan look like Pauanui. Bob stresses “It’s not a done deal yet,” and urges people to say no to it.
The article mentions that the business community appears to support the plan by Raglan Land Company for the 500 house residential development on Rangitahi Peninsula. It quotes Richard Jacobsen, owner of one of the two supermarkets in the town, as supporting the proposal.
