The Discover Raglan Sunday Mini-Bus organised by the Raglan Chamber of Commerce will start running twice a day on every Sunday and public holiday from 7th April 2013. This Raglan – Hamilton service replaces the limited summer Sunday service provided by Busit. The bus has been made possible through a grant from the Waikato District Council to cover the shortfall expected between passenger fares and operating costs.
A big thank you to everybody involved with putting this together and making it happen for Raglan. Great work team!
It will run as follows:
Raglan to Hamilton services [All Sundays & Public Holidays (Except Christmas Day)]
- 10.00 am Raglan Information Centre, Wainui Road (via Library)
- 4.00 pm Raglan Information Centre, Wainui Road (via Library)
Hamilton to Raglan Services [All Sundays & Public Holidays (Except Christmas Day)}
- 11.15pm Hamilton Transport Centre, Bryce Street
- 5.15pm Hamilton Transport Centre, Bryce Street
Tickets cost $10 each way cash only
(There are no subsidies or Gold Card or Child Fares)

Will it collect from other places if booked? Does it run straight up the main road if not? Does it take bicycles? How many used it? Did NZTA reject giving a Gold Card subsidy? Good to see it advertised on the BusIt website.
Hi John, The minibus will depart from the Raglan Information Centre and call in at the Library. It will then proceed up Bow Street on its way to Hamilton. We hope to get a bike rack at a later date. Five passengers on our first day, which was pretty good as our advertising was only released on Friday. We hope to apply for a Gold Card subsidy….watch this space…..
Hey just wondering it is able to book online and to be picked up at the Dinsdale bus stop this sunday- 23/3/14 and wondering what time to bbe there if possible
