Raglan groups receive grants from Lottery Grants Board

Raglan Museum Society – grant recipient

A number of Raglan community groups received funding from the Lottery Grants Board during 2013. The Board’s annual report a grant of $75,187 to the Raglan & District Museum Soc. Inc towards their project to catalogue and display the Bird Family/ Ngati Tahinga collection of artefacts from the northern side of Raglan harbour. The Museum Society advises that the cataloguing work is underway and that it is expected that this major new exhibit will open later in 2014.

Rag;an Maori Warden’s Charitable Trust received $16,000 to aid them in carrying out their duties.  Te Mauri Tau Inc. received $16,500 towards their family programmes.

Great to see these Raglan groups and our community benefitting.
