After the success of Get It Together and its accompanying remix album, Sola Rosa are ready to release their fifth studio album – Low and Behold, High and Beyond – on Friday August 10, and to celebrate they’re hitting the road on a nine date nationwide Tour to showcase their extensive back catalogue as well as the new material jammed full of thick bass lines, deft musicianship and tight production. After the album release party at The Studio in K’Road they are heading next to Raglan, then around the country concluding in Queenstown on Saturday 8 September.

With five albums now under his belt, a raft of accolades and well over a decade of producing genre-splitting music, Andrew Spraggon’s work as Sola Rosa has cemented him as one of the world’s most exciting and versatile producers. He has navigated his all-star cast in a slightly new direction; producing an album underpinned by his appreciation of hip-hop beats and indulging his interest in nu-funk/soul.

Spraggon, currently on a 10 date Tour of the US is looking forward to returning to NZ for the album release and first Sola Rosa Tour in two years.

“This is the first album we’ve really collaborated as a band. We’re all really happy with the result and the way the live show is sounding. I can’t wait to take this album out on the road, we’ve been rehearsing new tracks for our North American tour and the new tunes are slammin’.”

The musical formation of brainchild Andrew Spraggon, takes on Spikey Tee, Ben White, Matt Short, Cherie Mathieson and L A Mitchell to create a musical force like you’ve never heard before. Blending a sensational mix of hip hop, reggae, jazz, Latin, soul and funk, Sola Rosa brings a new level of uniqueness to the ears of eager fans.
