Te Kopua Domain, Raglan
Saturday, 24 November 2012 1pm
Celebrate Dave’s arrival in Raglan with an open day for families at the Te Kopua domain as part of his epic 350km Ocean Paddle from Taranaki to Piha to draw awareness to proposed NZ Seabed Mining.
Bring a picnic, get some information about seabed mining and the endangered Maui’s dolphin at the info stalls. There will be games and a sand castle building competition for the kids and live music.
Dave is expected to paddle in to the Kopua Domain at 2:00pm and then will be available for brief talks.
People that want to paddle in with Dave are to meet at the kite surfer’s beach (end of Riria Kereopa Memorial Drive) at 1:00pm. We’re hoping to get as many man-powered vessels in the water at the same time.
