Tena koutou katoa,
This Saturday we will be doing a pop up street seat, on the median across from Trade Aid, Tim Turner’s beautiful Karioi seat will be taking pride of place, we can spend time hanging out and chatting with anyone who feels like popping in for a chat about ‘Place Making’ Raglan Whaingaroa. This is an awesome opportunity to engage with our community, in a real life setting. We are planning on doing this for the next four weeks.
Richard Jacobson has kindly offered the use of two large blackboards, and we will be using these to record everyone’s ideas, we will also have pictures of place making from other places, including seating inspiration, and more. Aaron is also updating our FAQ sheet for Saturday. If it is raining we’ll be hanging out in front of Super Value.
If you are free between 9am and 2pm, come on down to our ‘pop up street seat’, it would be great to see you there!
If you can help as a volunteer, a coordinator, or with materials, please email us at coxfamily62@xtra.co.nz, and we will add you to our list.
Nga mihi,
Lisa Thomson
On behalf of our community place making team ☺
