Raglan Chamber of Commerce hosts meeting to discuss impact of road closures

The Raglan Chamber of Commerce has announced that it will be hosting a meeting to discuss the impact of road closures.

………………………………………………………………………. Details of the meeting are:

COMMUNITY GROUPS / RAGLAN BUSINESS OWNERS

ROAD CLOSURES WITHIN THE CBD

BENEFITS / NON BENEFITS

You are invited to attend a forum to discuss the above issues:

When:                   Tuesday 28th September 2010

Venue:        Raglan Sunset Motel – Karioi Conference Room

Time:          5.15pm

The Raglan Chamber of Commerce has become aware of concerns regarding road closures within the business area of Raglan, i.e. Bow Street, Wainui Road.

This forum is intended to offer a safe situation in which to share information and gain a better understanding of the issues involved.

Do you support road closures? Well come along and have your say.  It is important that the community understands the benefits to community groups from holding events that result in road closures.

Do you have a problem with road closures? Well this is your chance to come and have a say.  No more grumbling….come along and speak up.

The Chamber will prepare a discussion document following this forum.  It is important that this forum does not become “just another talk fest”.  It needs to  produce some solutions that suit the community as a whole.

For this forum to be of real benefit it is essential that all involved groups are represented.  The meeting will not proceed without sufficient representation – so your RVSP is essential.  Please RSVP to the email address below, or phone me on 825 7003, by Thursday 23 September.

Yours sincerely

Angela Williams (Sec)
