# RAGLAN ARTS WEEKEND 2014

131127RaglanArtsWeekendDecember 2013 sees the launch of the 2014 Raglan Arts Weekend Guide by the Raglan Community Arts Council. The Raglan Arts Weekend is the new name for the annual Raglan Arts Trail as the event now encompasses both artists’ open studios and a three day Raglan Creative Market at the Old School Arts Centre during Auckland Anniversary weekend: January 25th to 27th.

The 2014 guide provides details of 27 artists exhibiting either at their studios or the Old School. Their work covers a range of media including painting, sculpture, photography, jewellery and wearable art.
Artists will have a range of their work on display and available for purchase, and will be happy to discuss their thoughts and processes with you. This is an ideal time to see a wide variety of art forms, meet your favourite artists or discover new ones.

On Friday 24th January there will be an opening preview event at 7pm at the Old School where you can meet the artists and view examples of their work. This will help visitors plan their weekend itinerary.
Outside of this weekend artists can be contacted directly using the Arts Weekend guide details to arrange a visit. Long renowned for its arts and music as well as its surf, Raglan is a great place for a day visit, a weekend away or extended holiday with galleries, designer stores, a wide range of accommodation, cafés and alternative activities around the harbour and beaches.

Copies of the guide can be found at the Raglan Information Centre, the Raglan Old School Arts Centre in Stewart Street, at Raglan cafés and galleries and many other outlets throughout the Waikato and Auckland. In 2014, it will also be included as an insert in the Raglan Chronicle.
