The Raglan Area School yr 8 – 10 surfing team were winners of the NZ Schools Surf Champs at Manu Bay 7 – 8 August.

NZ Schools Surf Champs hosted by the RAS Surfing Academy were held at Manu Bay in early August.  For the first time ever Raglan Area School won the competition with their talented year 9 and 10 crew.

The academy students were unable to compete in the competition because they were responsible for the running the event, which involved 28 schools from around NZ and over 140 students.

The student organisers were stoked with the surfing conditions and outcome of the event.  They thank all the schools and competitors that got involved.
