A giant pothole in the Wallis St car park near Orca Restuarant and Lilypot Florist was filled in late last week. The giant pothole was mentioned in a letter to the Raglan Chronicle by Raglan resident, Patsy Zohs. Patsy said in the letter that she was nearly posted missing after teetering on the brink of the pothole and that long-standing complaints from local businesses to the Waikato District council had not managed to get the pothole filled in. Anyway now the pothole has been filled in.
Chair of the Raglan Community Board, Rodger Gallagher said that in his experience, filling in potholes promptly, was one of the things that Waikato District Council was good at and went on to add that phoning WDC on 0800 492 452 or better still using the service form on the website ensured that potholes are filled in within one or two weeks.
