Plea for Raglan residents to be patient

Subscribers to the Waikato Times received a note with their newspaper this morning asking them to be patient with the noisy Times delivery vehicle. When the Times moved to a morning newspaper in September 2011, many Raglan people complained about the loud noise of the delivery vehicle driving around the streets in the early hours of the morning. These complaints led to a quieter van being used for the delivery work. But recently the very loud vehicle returned to the streets. And it seems that this early morning disruption has seen some Raglan residents respond by throwing stones at the delivery vehicle. This has resulted in Valentina Pigozzo, the Times delivery person giving 30 days notice and asking local people to be patient.

Times subscribers received this note with their newspaper this morning,
“Dear Customer,
I’m Valentina the “Waikato times deliver since september 2011.
I would like to apologize with you for my noisy car. unfortunately, the van that I had became unavailable suddenly, Waikato times doesn’t give any car and with this job I can’t afford to buy another one.
I ask you to be patient for another 30 days (notice period) as I resigned this morning (25/09) after one of your neighbor throw me some stones.
Kind Regards
Valentina Pigozzo”

Come on people, please be patient.  If you have a problem with the noise, phone noise control on 0800 492 452 or the Waikato Times on 07 849 6180 or email the Waikato Times newspapersales@waikatotimes.co.nz .

When we asked the Waikato Times, a staff member said, “I will send your concerns onto our distribution co-ordinator and she will look into this issue for you.”
