Pecha Kucha Opening Night for Raglan

The opening night for PechaKucha in Raglan is this coming Thursday 4th March at the Old School Arts Centre in Stewart St.
Some stunning and interesting presentations are on the programme, including:

  • David Wimmer on the Rebuilding work he helped with after the Samoan tsunami.
  • Jean Carbon on  Textiles along the Silk Road
  • Yann Bordier on living and sailing in the Caribbean
  • Rodger Gallagher on the Evolving architecture and use of the Raglan Old School building since 1883-  this includes the first public viewing of architectural plans recently discovered in the National Archives.
  • Sioux Swann on Ruapuke Sunsets
  • Wanda Barker on Femme Art
  • Dirk de Ruysscher on Mountain Biking around Whaingaroa
  • Hilary Ramage on Creative Printmaking
  • Pieter  ten Broek on kite and skate boarding in Raglan
  • And each presentation will be 20 slides long and take precisely 6 minutes 40 seconds.
    Yummy food available and cash bar open from 7.00pm.   Presentations start at 7.30pm.  And we stop for a ‘beer break’ halfway through.
    So come along for an interesting, informative and social evening.  The PechaKucha format is growing organically around the world and now its here in Raglan hosted by the Old School Arts Centre.   $7 entry to cover cost of room and equipment.
