A painting by local artist Robert of Raglan (Bob Currie) has been featured on a book cover. The book titled, Personal Bests Journal Issue 3 was published on 24th November. The book is available amazon.co.uk
Personal Bests Journal is a twice-yearly collection of short stories chosen and submitted by their authors as their “lifetime bests”. The series is edited by David Gardiner (formerly Prose Editor of Gold Dust Magazine) and published through Kindle Direct Publishing.
All income from the sale of the books is distributed equally amongst all the contributors. The series has been enthusiastically received by both readers and writers. No longer must a writer’s finest work be seen once in a small-circulation literary magazine, only to disappear forever afterwards. This is a unique publishing experiment and can claim to be the world’s first “fair trade” short story anthology. The quality of the stories published in Personal Bests Journal testifies to the practical excellence of this approach to creating a “solid gold” collection of the cream of the cream of the art of living short story writers.
