The work to replace the wastewater line on the Opotoru Bridge has been postponed for 24 Hours due to bad weather. The delays in traffic will now start at 9pm on Tuesday night and run through into Wednesday with the work scheduled to be completed by Wednesday night.
Delays will be for no more than 5 minutes at a time, emergency services and school buses will be cleared for immediate access across the bridge. See full details below of amended times.
Waikato District Council has issued a Notice of Works for Wainui Bridge, Raglan. This is the bridge usually referred to as the one-lane bridge or the Opotoru Bridge on Wainui Road. It is the normal route for children going to school from Raglan West, visitors to the Kopua Reserve and for surfies heading to Whaanga Coast. An alternative vehicle route for the closed days would be via Te Mata Road and Te Hutewai Road :

Panels replaced and final commissioning.
