  1. My ancestor James Newton died and buried in Raglan about August/September 1875. I would like to know if there are any maps or information which would lead to where he is buried? I checked your website and that name does not show up. However, it would be interesting to see any old maps which may help me in finding his burial plot. Many thanks,
    Gail Young

  2. Hi Gail he died on 6 August 1875. He also went by the surname of Neal or Brassy. I have looked at all the cemetery records for the area and his plot is not recorded in any cemetery. There are some unmarked plots in the Raglan cemetery so one of these could easily be him. I would presume he is in the Raglan cemetery as he was brought into Raglan where he died later.
