One lane of Raglan’s Cambrae Rd open

One lane of Cambrae Road Raglan is now open

Following restoration of the road following a massive dropout/ slip, one lane of Raglan’s Cambrae Rd opened on 22nd February. The restored area next to the concrete Lego block retaining wall remains closed with many cones and a sign saying, ‘Shoulder Closed’. Drivers will have to take care as the single land is handling two directions of traffic.

Road blocked by the slip on Jan 28 before it was cleared

The dropout from the tar seal lane of Cambrae Road occurred overnight on the 27th/ 28th January following the Auckland Anniversary weekend storm. The dropout closed the upper tar seal lane and the slip from the dropout closed the lower concrete lane of the road across from the driveway to 8 Cambrae Rd. A team from the Alliance cleared the slip, built a retaining wall and formed the road again behind the retaining wall. Raglan 23 has been told that a new kerb will be laid and then the whole road width next to the retaining wall will be rebuilt and then resealed.
