Raglan’s controversial Route 23 bus service came to a complete stop on the evening of Wed 19th when one of the wheels needed attention in Manukau Rd, Raglan. So bus travellers had to walk home for the rest of the ‘ride’. Many locals think its time for the Waikato Regional Council who operate the bus to take a walk!
Help was called for and the bus support truck headed out from Hamilton to start the repairs and hour later.
Bus fares are due to increase from 1st January. And although a Sunday service will run from Hamilton it won’t make the return run till late afternoon. Raglan locals say that this is no use to them.
And Busit say that a Saturday timetable will operate for the Raglan service on 27, 28, 29 and 31 December and 3, 4, 5 January. A special timetable will operate on 30 December and 6 January.
