Raglan author Isa Pearl Ritchie has published a novel:
Kia ora – just letting you know that my novel (set in Raglan/Hamilton) titled Fishing for Māui has just been published!
It is a novel with themes of food, family, and mental illness. It was written while I was living in Raglan – I wrote quite a lot of it while sitting at The Shack while my daughter was at kindy.
If you’re interested, it’s available in bookshops like Whitcoulls and can be requested at libraries, or you can also get it from the distributor: https://www.nationwidebooks.co.nz/…/fishing-for-maui-978047…
or as an ebook here: https://mebooks.co.nz/…/novels-conte…/fishing-for-maui-ebook or on Amazon
I would love to get shops in Whaingaroa to stock it too (send me a message if your shop wants to) – I had my previous novel for sale in Jo’s book shop, in Atamira, and Raglan Book & Gift Centre, but since I’m living in Wellington at the moment I might have to post it or it can be ordered from the distributor.
Thanks to all the Raglan friends and whānau who have given me support and encouragement over the years!
