Hamilton bus services will be disrupted during the day on Tuesday 6th November due to industrial action by bus drivers.
First Union members have given notice to Go Bus Transport that they will strike from 10am until 2pm (Tuesday, 6 November).
The Orbiter and all regional services – 20 Cambridge, 21 Northern Connector, 22 Morrinsville/Paeroa, 23 Raglan and 24 Te Awamutu – will operate as normal.
There will be reduced service on the CBD Shuttle, 1 Pukete, 2 Silverdale, 3 Dinsdale, 4 Flagstaff, 6 Mahoe, 8 Frankton, 9 Nawton, 12 Fitzroy, 14 Claudelands, 16 Rototuna and RC Rototuna Circular. A revised schedule for these services will be available online later today.
However, the 5 Chartwell, 7 Glenview, 10 Hillcrest, 11 Fairfield, 13 University, 17 Hamilton East/University, 18 Te Rapa, 26 Bremworth/Templeview and 29 Hamilton Gardens will not operate for the duration of the industrial action.

Waikato Regional Council, which is responsible for managing bus service contracts in the region, urged people to check for updates before they travelled in case there were further changes.
Public transport operations manager Andrew Wilson said: “Our staff are doing all they can to find solutions which minimise the disruption to our passengers, but inevitably there will be some people who will have to find alternative transport.
“Service updates will be posted to the BUSIT Facebook page and website, so please check individual route information before travelling during the day. People are also welcome to give us a call anytime on 0800 205 305 if they have any queries.”
