Nov 22-23: Heavy rain hits Raglan

Heavy rain hit Raglan from 10pm on November 22, with about half of it falling from 10pm to 11pm. In the hour from 10pm, 7.6mm was recorded by Raglan Weather. For the 24 hours to 8am on the 23rd, a total of 16.5mm was recorded.

During the heaviest period, satellite TV dishes stopped working with the loss of signal message coming up. Rain radar showed a heavy band of rain over Raglan and other parts of the coastal Waikato at 9.58pm on the 22nd.

Although the next red alert tide day is not till the 25th November, it is likely that run off from streams will make the Raglan Harbour tides higher than usual.
