Raglan Movies at the Old School has three movies screening this weekend:

BAD MOMS 2 is on Friday 17th at 5.30pm, Saturday 18th at 5.30pm and Sunday 19th at 7.00pm.

The Bad Moms are back. Amy (Kunis), Carla (Hahn) and Kiki (Bell) struggle to cope when their respective mothers visit for the holidays.

NO ORDINARY SHEILA is on Saturday 18th at 8.00pm and Sunday 19th at 4.30pm.

NZ Herald 3.5/5 Stars “Shelia is the star of the show. The tenacity with which she’s explored her many passions and interests, generous spirit and lovely sense of humour, will leave you inspired, uplifted and probably moved.””

WARU is on for an encore screening of Friday 17th at 8pm.

Sunday Star Times 5/5 Stars. Sarah Watt, “the overall impact of Waru is stunning and it is impossible not to be moved and impressed in equal measure. A reviewer’s work is such we seldom get the luxury of time to watch a film more than once, but Waru is one I’ll be revisiting as soon as I can.”

From nine female Māori filmmakers come eight connected stories, each taking place at the same moment in time during the tangi (funeral) of a small boy, WARU, who has died at the hands of a caregiver.
The eight stories are all subtly linked and follow different female characters as they come to terms with Waru’s death and try to find a way forward in their community. (M)
