Waikato District Council Otonga Valley Road update:
Council’s roading team has brought in a temporary bridge so local residents once again have access in and out of Otonga Valley Road.
A culvert collapsed on the rural Waitetuna road on Monday night which restricted access for more than 15 families in the valley.
The bridge is now in place and at 9pm last night residents once again had access in and out of their road, less than 24 hours after the incident occurred.
Only light vehicles (regular cars, no trucks) will be able to use the temporary bridge.
