Nov 16: Greenslade Road must conserve water as pipe repaired

Media Release: Waikato District Council, 16 November, 2016 7.53am

Greenslade Road residents asked to conserve water as pipe is repaired

Waikato District Council still working really hard on the Raglan water situation. Residents are doing a great job conserving water, but they need to continue with what they’re doing.

This morning residents in the vicinity of Greenslade Road can only use water for drinking purposes as they’re now being supplied by a water truck pumping into the area. Staff weren’t able to repair the burst pipe overnight due to dangerous ground conditions.

Council continues to ask all other Raglan residents and businesses to continue conserving water as water continues to be trucked into the town’s reservoirs.

A tanker remains at the Fire Station for those who need it. Residents are reminded to take their own water containers and drink bottles to fill.

    1. Thanks Judy. I’ve asked WDC what they are going to do about this leak and the other leaks around town in their network.
