RAGLAN WATER UPDATE

After last night’s earthquake Raglan’s water supply continues to be affected. There is a very limited supply in the reservoirs. This will run out if you do not conserve water.

Only use your water for drinking. Please do not shower, do washing etc until further notice.

Thanks very much,

All,

The water supply in Raglan is offline. The normally crystal clear spring that supplies the water to the treatment plant has turned discoloured ( possibly due to the earthquake) and the treatment plant is unable to treat the water to the required standards.

Communications team and our Civil defence teams have been alerted.  We are currently advising that residents conserve water.

Will update as we know more.

Raglan Volunteer Fire Brigade has checked out the Hydrants and all is OK.
