New Year exhibition open at Raglan Old School Arts Centre

Ardre Foote studies Jean Carbon's work in silk

A stunning exhibition by 25 Raglan artists opened yesterday and will be available for viewing every day throughout January.  A bold silk artwork by Jean Carbon floats like a cloud along the full length of the gallery ceiling.   The exhibition includes pottery by Clare Wimmer and Robyn Lloyd and jewellery by Sarah Steed.  A number of painters are exhibiting including Mary Roberts, Jenny Rhodes, Dot Williams, Robert of Raglan and Lois Tylee.   Several photographers are exhiting including Trevor Penfold and Gillian Lankshear.  A mixed media work by Simon Te Wheoro sees copper reflecting through traditional Maori design.
