On Tuesday 10th December, concrete trucks arrived at 3 Bankart St,  Raglan to pour the floor for the new Four Square supermarket being built there. After many trucks had been and gone, and much concrete had been spread, a successful lay was finished off ready for the next stage of building.

Work first started on the building in October 2012 and rumours in Bow St at the time were that it was to be a Four Square.  Construction then stalled when it was discovered that an engineered foundation was needed. The site is owned by Ken and Lesley Curtis, former owners of the Four Square in Pirongia and well-known Waikato businessman and Foodstuffs Director, Glenn Miller. Foodstuffs is the cooperative umbrella business that runs New World, Pak n Save and Four Square.
