It was a sixth place for Team Waikato this year at the National Scholastic Surfing Champs, held in Gisborne last week, but according to Surfing NZ the team was “…the most winningest region at the event this year”. Four surfers made the finals of their divisions, with 3 wins! Congrats to Caleb Cutmore (U18), Kora Cooper (U16) and Brie Bennett (U16) for first places and Jayden Willoughby (U14) for 3rd place. The Scholastics event will be held in Raglan in 2019.
