The old two cubicle toilet block in Joyce Petchell Park was provided with water from the museum roof.

We asked Waikato District Council if there will be enough rain water for the new four cubicle toilets?

The Council said, “The same system is being used for the four pan unit and there are no concerns about there not being enough water being supplied from the current water tank at the museum.”

We also asked if the water from the roof would be safe to use in the drinking fountain being installed?

The Council said, “The drinking fountain will be connected to the reticulated town water supply – because of this the drinking fountain will be installed in conjunction with the Joyce Petchell Car Park works.
