The first section of the concrete floor for the new Raglan Museum was laid last week. With the rest of the reinforcing mesh already down, if the rain stays away the whole floor will be completed this coming week. The new building to house the museum and information centre is being built by Livingston Construction.
Latest information from WDC Facilities GM, Richard Bax is that the building will be completed by August 2011 and then handed over to the Raglan & District Museum and to the Raglan Information Centre. These organisations will then require a period of time to fit out the building prior to the official opening.
