Young Raglan surfers continued their winning streak at the Rip Curl GromSearch held at Back Beach in Taranaki over the weekend of 3-4 March 2018.
In the Under 14 boys division, Jayden Willoughby secured first place with some impressive surfing and high heat scores. Navryn Malone placed second.
In the Under 17 boys division, Caleb Cutmore defended his title with another win and gained a place to represent NZ at the international GromSearch contest to be held in May. Kora Cooper placed third.
Josef Jungwirth and Brie Bennett both surfed well in their semi final heats, but didn’t make it through to the finals.
These surfers are all students at Raglan Area School and are members of the Point Boardriders Club.
