More loose chip on Raglan Road

After a short break during the holiday period, NZTA contractors are back in January spreading loose chip on the Raglan Road, SH 23.

NZTA have issued a caution for the section of SH 23 from Ohautira Road to Matakotea Road, just East of Te Uku.

They say that due to the resurfacing work taking place, traffic management and speed restrictions will be in place while the work is carried out.

Loose chip and speed restrictions will be in place for about two days afterwards to protect the new seal and allow the chip to properly embed. Please drive with care and allow extra time to your journey.

And I’d add make sure your car insurance is up to date and covers glass replacement.

The caution is in place until further notice.
