More hiccups as Waikato Council begins hearings for Year 2 of its Long Term Plan

Waikato District Council commenced hearing submissions on its Annual Plan (Yr 2 of Long Term Plan) today, Monday 20th May. Raglan 23 has had some feedback on the online submission system which indicates the Council’s online submission system has not correctly captured the submissions. John Lawson said, “the summary of on-line submissions; they show that all responded ‘yes’ or ‘the facility is not in my area’. I know that several of mine said ‘no’, but they’re summarised as ‘yes’.”

Raglan 23 has asked the Waikato Council how it intends to handle this issue.

Waikato District Council Chief Executive Gavin Ion said:

“As soon as we were made aware that some of the online submissions we received had picked up an incorrect information field we manually checked all online submissions to ensure we have recorded the information as submitted.

“Fortunately this glitch only affected 16 submissions and I am fully satisfied that this small issue was resolved quickly and all information has been recorded as intended.”
