Waikato Police have located missing Raglan woman, Raewyn Smith.

Waikato Police Search and Rescue and Hamilton Land Search & Rescue were deployed to Raglan and located the 74 year old woman in sand dunes on the beachfront on Wednesday morning.

Raewyn has been taken to Waikato Hospital and is being treated for hypothermia.

Waikato Police would like to thank Hamilton Land Search & Rescue, who located Raewyn, for their assistance.

She was reported missing by family from her Raglan home on Monday and had been last seen leaving her house at 4pm. Concerns were raised about her health as she needed medication.

Police said, “She was found in along the shoreline of the harbour – consistent with the walk that she regularly does. As to how long she had been there or how she has come to be there we don’t know.”
