Weather in Raglan on Christmas Day is expected to be fine with possibly a few showers in the evening.
The temperature should rise to the mid 20 degrees by midday and drop to 13 degrees overnight. Winds will be light and from the north and later move to the west.
However scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop over many parts of central and northern North Island areas this afternoon and evening. These thunderstorms are likely to bring localised heavy rain of 10 to 25mm per hour. Additionally, over southern Waikato, Waitomo, Taumarunui, Tongariro National Park, Taupo and Rotorua, there is a moderate risk that some of these thunderstorms could become SEVERE.
