Transport of the over-size bits and pieces for the Te Uku Wind Farm will be paused over the Christmas – New Year period. Meridian has announced that the final day for transport and delays this year will be on Monday 20 December. The transporting work will start-up again on Monday 10th January 2011 and be complete, weather permitting on Friday 28 January 2011.
Robert Batters, Project Manger for the wind farm said, “I realise that vehicle movements such as this can inconvenience travellers and apologise in advance for any disruption. I want to know that we are committed to keeping any delays to a minimum.”
