A daytime ‘meet-the-candidates’ public meeting will be held in the Raglan Town Hall from 10.30am to 12.30 on Saturday August 23rd. General election candidates Angeline Greensill (Internet- Mana), Barbara Kuriger (National), Penny Gaynor (Labour) and Robert Moore (Green) have confirmed that they will be there.
The meeting has been arranged by Raglan man John Lawson, who says, “The normal format for these meetings has been a 5 minute speech by each candidate, followed by a long question and answer session.”
A similar breakfast meeting in July by the Raglan Chamber of Commerce organised for its members saw 100 people attend. This town hall meeting is an opportunity for the entire community to put their questions to the candidates. Thanks John for organising this.
Although I’ve done much of the organising, the meeting is being run by Whaingaroa Environmental Defence and Raglan Residents ad Ratepayers Association.
