The next Board meeting is Tuesday 6 May at 6pm in the Town Hall Supper Room. The public forum starts at 5.30pm, giving an opportunity to discuss issues, but you can also contact the Community Board members (See below for list).

  1. Library/office completion in June.
  2.  Xtreme Waste contract extension to January 2016, rather than extension to July 2015. Bag prices to rise in line with inflation in July. A camera operates at Te Uku to try to identify illegal dumping.
  3.  Riki Spring water treatment works upgrade awarded to UGL to be finished in June. [still no detail] Process upgrade to be included in 2015 Long Term Plan.
  4. Pump station emergency storage meeting to decide locations.
  5. Whaanga Coast sewage to be completed in June. Was held up by road legalisation.
  6.  Waingaro Hot Springs “pending the result of the current process being undertaken by council”.
  7.  Place Making meeting held on 1 May. [report at Raglan Town Square closed]
  8. Notable trees “work in progress to identify and confirm which trees are listed” [http://www.waikatodistrict.govt.nz/CMSFiles/13/13a19336-f666-4ab0-bc8f-908ef99c8f9e.pdf lists 82 trees in Raglan!] A holm oak (possibly listed 170) on Cliff St to be cut down “due to proximity to footprint of toilet block.” Also cut down adjacent palm and dead gum tree on Marine Pde. “General tidy up” of trees on Bow St, Wallis St, Cliff St, Puriri St.
  9. Consent applications not being published until advice received on privacy.
  10. Customer Report Management – up from 86% to 89% of cases dealt with within target time, but Parks and Reserves only 32%.
  11. Rangitahi 41 submissions in support, 63 against and 17 neutral. Hearings at the Bowling Club in August.
  12. Discretionary fund still has $5,134. Unpaid commitments total $11,557, for Placemaking, Dolphin day, radio, sculptures and cigarette bins. The Toy Library wants $1,003.
