LOST IN PARIS is a French comedy starring the filmmakers as a small-town Canadian librarian and a strangely seductive, oddly egotistical vagabond whose paths cross in the City of Lights.
When Fiona’s (Fiona Gordon) orderly life is disrupted by a letter of distress from her 88-year-old Aunt Martha (Academy Award-nominee Emmanuelle Riva, Amour) who is living in Paris, Fiona hops on the first plane she can and arrives only to discover that Martha has disappeared. In an avalanche of spectacular disasters, she encounters Dom (Dominique Abel), the affable, but annoying tramp who just won’t leave her alone.

Call “The Breaker Upperers,” two nihilistic New Zealand best friends and roommates who will knock at your soon-to-be ex’s door, hand them your watch, and announce you drowned. Writer-director-stars Jackie van Beek and Madeleine Sami play Jen and Mel, who committed exclusively, if platonically, to each other 15 years ago when they found out they were dating the same man. Now, both are so soured on love that their hearts have curdled, making it easy to stick fake pregnancy bellies under their shirts and shatter strangers’ lives.
