Fulton Hogan news
As part of the 2024/25 summer renewals programme, Fulton Hogan Waikato will be undertaking road resurfacing on the Raglan to Hamilton road, State Highway 23 (SH23) at the locations shown in the maps below. These works are programmed to commence Sunday 9 March and are expected to take 4 nights to complete. The works will take place between 9pm and 5am each night.
We will be removing the current road surface and replacing it with a new asphalt surface and is weather dependent.
In the event poor weather or other unforeseen circumstances preventing work from happening, the work will be rescheduled.
When we carry out these works, SH23 Raglan Road will be closed to through traffic in both directions with vehicles allowed through the worksite at 9:45pm, 11pm, 1am and 3am. Vehicles must be at the closure points at either end of the site at these times and will be escorted through the work site. Once the queued traffic is through the site the closure will re-start until the next opening time.
While the work is taking place near Four Brothers Scenic Reserve, the road will be closed from 500m east and 200m west of Four Brothers Reserve. These works will take 2 nights to complete and commence Sunday 9 March.
While the work is taking place near Ohautira Road, the road will be closed between house #3205 and house #3365. These works will take 2 nights to complete and commence Tuesday 11 March.
The machinery we use can sometimes be noisy, we will try to minimise this.
Emergency Services will be given priority access at all times through the work site.
