Mr. Rudnytsky is prizewinner of ten national and international competitions. He has played many concerts and conducted many masterclasses since 1984 through US Embassies in over 35 countries—with repeat visits to many. In addition, he has also played recitals on about 65 cruises of P&O and Cunard ships.Roman Rudnytsky is an American concert pianist of Ukrainian background who has performed around the world for many years. A graduate of the Juilliard School in New York, he has (as of the end of 2017) played concerts in 100 countries. In addition to solo recitals, this has included being soloist with many orchestras around the world—-playing with them over 45 different works for piano and orchestra.
His most recent concerts (2017) took place in Britain, the Pacific islands of Saipan and Guam, Alaska and other places in the USA, Australia (20th tour—-21 concerts), and on five cruises of Cunard ships–all three of them. In February 2018, he performed again on Saipan and also on the island of Majuro (Marshall Islands).
Roman Rudnytsky has made twelve tours in New Zealand since the early 1980’s—playing in many towns and cities all over the country. On this present tour in March, he is playing five recitals.
In addition,to his concertizing, Mr. Rudnytsky is also currently “Professor Emeritus” of Youngstown State University—Dana School of Music (Youngstown, Ohio USA), where he served on the piano and music faculty for 39 years. He previously had been a member of the piano faculty of both the Indiana University School of Music in Bloomington, Indiana and Artist-in-Residence for a year at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In addition, as Artist-in-Residence, he served twice in this capacity in Australia at the Univ. of Melbourne Faculty of Music and once at the Univ. of Wollongong School of Creative Arts and also in Canada at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario.
