Raglan Town Hall – Community Board meetings are held in the supper room on the right hand side

The next Board meeting is Tuesday 11 March at 6pm in the Town Hall Supper Room. The public forum starts at 5.30pm, giving an opportunity to discuss issues.

The agenda is online at http://waikatodc.govt.nz/CMSFiles/bc/bcf349f1-1cf6-4183-8a1e-144766c13e34.pdf  though it doesn’t show the infrastructure items (see below), which are in http://waidc.govt.nz/CMSFiles/39/395d6436-6829-4ac0-9db8-fa744d245373.pdf.

Items on the agenda include –

  • Library/office extension to start in March.
  • Simon Rd footpath to be completed by July.
  • Riki Spring water treatment works upgrade “to commence in the coming weeks”. [still no detail]
  • Whaanga Coast sewage on time and on budget. 72 properties signed up. May workshop of WDC Infrastructure Committee to consider septic tank management and possible bylaw.
  • Place Making workshop run by David Engwicht is on the agenda for discussion. [3 RCB members were at an unadvertised meeting to discuss this last week)
  • Papahua footbridge signs describing sculptures “cost implications yet to be confirmed”.
  • Notable trees District Arborist appointed “responsible for the parks and open spaces in the northern area”.
  • Customer Report Management – 86% of cases dealt with within target time. Only 1 report of illegal camping.
  • Coastal Reserves Committee minutes of February meeting and report from meeting at 5.30pm Monday 10 March in Town Hall Supper Room.
  • Camp ground financial report – profit up from $132,622 to $284,773 for 7 months to 31 Jan. Projects in hand include sculpture lighting, paving, heritage trail and sports hall.
  • Information Centre report – 98 Raglan businesses affiliated.
  • The infrastructure agenda recommends a year extension to the Xtreme Waste contract to July 2015 “to allow for the Solid Waste Review to be completed”. The Review aims to “align the refuse and recycling services offered throughout the District and it will be good to have Xtreme Waste continue the great work they do until the changes are clear”.
  • James St upgrade to be tendered in February. Norrie Ave design completed. 680m of Kawhia Rd to be resheeted with gravel. Slip repairs completed at Solscape, Ruakiwi Rd and Ohautira Rd.

Let me know if you think WED should be taking up other issues not on the agenda.

Hope to see you at this Green Party meeting – Sunday 23 March 6.30pm Bowling Club, James St Kevin Hague MP – A Greenprint for Health.

Thanks

John.
