The Lucky team are working their way across New Zealand searching for the cheapest and most interesting things to do in New Zealand. They’ve found what they say are the best hidden spots and local gems by driving off the beaten track and have included Raglan in their finds.
Jenna, a Lucky Rentals employee from Canada, is the first of the team to start the quest for affordable adventures. She’s been surfing in Raglan, swimming in the hidden hot pools of Kerosene Creek and even found a sneaky trick to seeing the views from Auckland’s Sky Tower for a quarter of the price.
Lucky says that they had heard from some friends that Raglan has the longest ride-able wave in New Zealand, the longest on record being 2km. They had also heard that this is one of the few towns in New Zealand that is untouched by the tourism hustle-bustle, and still maintains its small surf-town feel. So they had to see it for themselves.
