Late spring – the season for newspaper windows in Raglan

Newspaper up at 6 Wallis Street on Sunday 17th January

Every year at this time newspaper goes up on shop and cafe windows in Raglan as tenants prepare for a new beginning. At the moment the ones covered with newspaper are 6 Wallis Street and 23 Bow Street.

6 Wallis Street will be the new home for ULO’s Kitchen. There Facebook has some example of beautiful ULO’s designs they are working on. They say they will be opening soon. Can’t wait to have that tasty food available again.

At 23 Bow Street, ISOBAR has closed temporarily or a makeover. From the outside it seems they are going for a blacksand look. Across the road in the new building at 20 Bow Street has posters about artists moving in. The Facebook for the old Matapihi Gallery says, “Matapihi crew decided to take a leap… Doug Ford, the fabulous painter, Ush de la Croix producing the magnificent Raglan Honey and Lin Van Craenenbroeck from local handmade clothing brand Moz-art, will be opening a new gallery/art studio at 20 Bow Street.

On the corner of Wainui and Bow Street, in the old Blacksands location, West Coast Tacos opened late last week.
