Last day for submissions on Raglan bus

Today Monday 15th December is the last day to get your submissions in on the Raglan bus. The Waikato Regional Council draft transport plan proposes an hourly bus service on the Raglan-Hamilton route. 

The plan is based on a “steady as she goes” approach to 2045, despite climate change, population growth and other changing trends. The Waikato RC’s transport plans is available at http://www.waikatoregion.govt.nz/rptp and http://www.waikatoregion.govt.nz/Council/Policy-and-plans/Transport-policy/RLTP/ You can make a submission on onlone from the link on this page once you are registered.

Raglan local John Lawson says he has sent in a submission supporting the hourly bus service on the Raglan-Hamilton route and urges others to do the same.

  1. Average traffic flow on SH23 at Wrights Rd is 3655 vehicles a day, enough to fill over 70 buses, so the proposal to increase services to 11 a day still only provides for a fraction of the possible number of passengers.
