An evening sausage sizzle and a lineup of local choirs was a winner at St Peter’s Anglican Church on Friday night. The evening started with Slipped Disc singing some Christmas songs. This was followed by carols from Sean Ellison and his angels, accompanied on guitar by Dave Maybee, finishing with ‘Pukeko in a ponga tree’.
Then everybody headed behind the church for some well cooked sausages and a chat with friends
Mighty River Harmony then sung some of their barbershop numbers and carols. And after that it was time for the audience and the choirs to sing some more carols.
This year the donkey stayed outside the church enjoying a good feed of hay.
