The message often given to eco-tourists is to leave nothing but your footprints. But that message was a given a new twist at the Te Uku wind farm viewing car park this week when a pair of jandals was the sole evidence of any interest in the wind farm from tourists. Although the occasional visitor stops to look at the wind farm and read the display panels, interest appears to have been very light so far.
