Jun 17: RCoC – The Plastic Catastrophe

RCoC Breakfast Meeting: THE SHACK – Tuesday 17 June 2014 – 7.30am

MERREN TAIT
The Plastic Catastrophe

100,000 mammals (including whales, turtles and seals) and 1,000,000 birds die each year from ingesting plastic or being caught in plastic.

Raglan local Merren has been living a year without plastic since July 2013. She will speak about the challenges and rewards of her year without buying plastic and also talk about the exciting plans for plastic free Raglan July 2014.

Raglan put itself on the international stage last year with its plastic free initiatives over July 2013.

Plastic free Raglan is going to be bigger and better this year, we as a community can turn heads nationwide, particularly if you and your businesses get in behind it.

Come and hear from Merren how easy it is to be involved, some key websites to join and some tips to get you started.

RSVP to: Bronwyn & Geoff at: geoff_kelly@hotmail.com

We would like to thank the Raglan Real Estate Ray White for kindly sponsoring this breakfast, in association with the Raglan Chamber of Commerce.

Best Wishes
