On the 26th July, Raglan Ramblers will be taking a morning walk in Rangitahi. The track around Omahina Creek is open again, so we’ll be able to enjoy the water and mountain views. In the evening Ramblers say they’ll mark midwinter with a shared dinner at the Church Hall in Stewart Street. They plan to meet at about 6pm, have a brief (non-threatening) game and eat around 6:20 pm. Between the main course and dessert, one of the Ramblers has offered to take us down memory lane, with a visual presentation.
Dessert will follow, with tea and coffee. It won’t be a late night.
They have around 20 people coming so far, so if you are still thinking about it, could you please John me know by Monday 24 July. (next week!) The policy of the church whose hall they are using, is that there be no smoking or consumption of alcohol on the premises. Juice, soda water, lemonade will be provided.
There is no membership – the only cost is 10 cents per km to share travel costs. Details from John 825 7866. Check out Raglan Ramblers on Facebook-https://www.facebook.com/RaglanRamblers/. Most walks start at 9am from the James St/ Wallis St corner near Catholic church.
