Juan Gomez, the Venezuelan operator of Raglan’s Latin American food van is back. The Juantanamera name and the old food van has gone. The business has morphed into Raglan Cruisers in a specially built bright yellow van.
Juan’s site has also changed from down the end of Electric Lane off Wainui Road to a more visible site on the lawn outside the Herbal Dispensary at 6 Wallis Street. And in addition to the cute new van, the new colour and the new site, the menu has changed from savoury to sweet. Juan now has churros, a deep-fried sugar dusted delicacy.
